Our Inspiration

Henry's Story

Henry's Story

At the heart of Autism Northwest is the remarkable journey of our source of inspiration, a spirited 6-year-old named Henry. Henry's infectious love for life, his warm heart, and his unwavering spirit in the face of challenges have become the guiding force behind our nonprofit.

Henry's Passions:

Henry is a voracious reader, finding joy in the pages of countless adventures and stories. His time spent with his little sister Ellie, his dog Oscar, and Zoey his cat bring immense happiness to his world. In the summer, Henry's eyes light up as he embarks on camping adventures and enjoys the simple pleasures of nature. His laughter echoes at the swimming pool, where he shares delightful moments with his buddy JP, and family gatherings are filled with love and joy, surrounded by cherished cousins.

Overcoming Challenges:

Henry faces challenges associated with autism, but he refuses to let them define him. Instead, he radiates warmth and love, showcasing his tremendous potential and unique abilities. Henry's resilience in navigating his journey with autism serves as a beacon of inspiration for our organization.

The Heartbeat of Autism Northwest:

Henry’s story propels us forward, reminding us of the importance of creating a world where every individual, regardless of neurodiversity, can thrive and find acceptance. Henry's love for life and his ability to embrace every moment with enthusiasm is the driving force behind our mission to support families, raise awareness, and build an inclusive community.

Autism Northwest is committed to honoring Henry's spirit by creating a supportive and compassionate environment for individuals and families facing similar journeys. We draw strength from Henry's resilience and enthusiasm, propelling us to advocate for understanding, provide essential support services, and foster a sense of community that celebrates neurodiversity.

In Henry, we find inspiration, in his laughter, strength, and boundless potential. His story fuels our commitment to making Autism Northwest a beacon of hope, understanding, and support for families navigating the unique challenges and joys of life with autism. Together, we embark on a journey inspired by Henry, where every individual is embraced for who they are, and every family finds the support they need to thrive.
